White House Official Deletes Thousands of X Posts – Ultimate Hypocrisy

Biden Administration

The White House recently promoted to a newly created post is deleting thousands of his old tweets after facing criticism over his resurfaced social media presence.

Tyler Cherry, who was promoted just days ago to associate communications director at the White House after spending more than three years working for Secretary Deb Haaland in the the Department of Interior, recently deleted 2,500 posts on X.

News outlets report that Cherry deleted 2,496 tweets from Sunday night to Monday morning. That said, the total could be higher than that because, as it stands now, his response to the old posts is really the only thing you can see.

After a number of his previous tweets went viral on social media over the weekend, the former Interior official responded to the coverage of his remarks on Sunday.

The deleted tweets were noticed by social media users, including the large conservative account LibsofTikTok.

X posted on the account, “Tyler Cherry just deleted all his tweets.”

“Did #TylerCherry delete all his incriminating tweets, or did the Biden White House do it for him to cover his tracks?” retired diplomat Alberto Miguel Fernandez commented on X.

Cherry, who was in his 20s at the time of the posts, continued with the caveat that “Period. I support this Administration’s agenda – and will continue my communications work focused on our climate and environmental policies.”

A report published Friday highlighted some of the most inflammatory posts from Cherry, including a 2014 post criticizing Israel – which is similar to rhetoric spoken on today’s college campuses, according to the report.

“Praying for #Baltimore, but praying even harder for an end to a capitalistic police state motivated by explicit and implicit racial biases,” Cherry posted in 2015 amid riots that were sparked following the death of Freddie Gray, a Black man, in police custody in Baltimore.

Last year, Cherry led protests for the end of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which is responsible for enforcing border security and stopping illegal immigration.

Cherry has a history of bashing Republicans on social media, including calling conservatives in the Republican Party “white grievance politics” in 2017.

White House senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates told news sources on Thursday that the White House was “very proud to have Tyler on the team.”
