A woman who gained internet notoriety for aggressively confronting a Trump supporter wearing a MAGA hat on a New York City subway train has a professional background in upscale branding and creative direction. The New York Post revealed on Saturday that Alberta Testanero is the individual captured on video attempting to snatch the “Make America Great Again” hat off a fellow passenger’s head before tumbling face-first onto the platform.
According to the report, the 55-year-old dual Italian-American citizen has worked as a freelance creative director and branding specialist for luxury brands like Tiffany & Co., Coach, Bergdorf Goodman, and Kate Spade. On her online profiles, Testanero boasts of “maintaining the highest standards” and possessing “a keen understanding of the relationship between corporate strategy and creative vision.”

“An experienced team leader, I have a keen understanding of the relationship between corporate strategy and creative vision. No matter how large or small, I approach every project with enthusiasm always furthering brand vision and maintaining the highest standards,” Testanero wrote on her LinkedIn profile.
However, a former colleague who knew Testanero described her becoming increasingly “agitated” and embracing more extreme liberal political views over time. “She and I stopped being friends a while ago, as she became extremely liberal and very agitated,” the ex-coworker stated, adding that Testanero had a reputation for arguing with Republicans and accusing people of racism.

The viral incident occurred on March 19th shortly before midnight on a No. 6 train in Midtown Manhattan. In footage circulated online, Testanero can be heard shouting at the MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporter, “If you f–king voted for Trump, you’re a racist!” She also proclaimed, “Only uneducated people voted for Trump,” to which the man calmly responded, “I’m highly educated.”
As bystanders urged Testanero to leave the man alone, stating “That’s why he [Trump] won — because of people like you,” she defiantly pursued him when he exited at his stop. Testanero chased the Trump supporter onto the platform in an unsuccessful attempt to knock off his red MAGA cap, stumbling and falling face-first onto the floor in the process.
