Man Sentenced for Targeting Politicians and Media Outlets With Disturbing Images

(UnitedVoice.com) – A Florida man has been jailed for five years after a bizarre harassment campaign where he sent pornography to politicians and journalists on social media.

On August 31, 24-year-old Marchaun Browning of Gibsonton, FL, pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing and distributing pornography. His crimes date back to June 2017, when Browning created an array of sockpuppet Twitter accounts and launched a pedo porn bombardment against numerous public figures. He would tweet an obscene image and tag it with the names of his targets, ensuring that they – and anyone who searched Twitter for their names – would see the porn.

Browning’s disgusting campaign started to unravel when the husband of a Bay News 9 anchor he was harassing reported the tweets to Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Grady Judd said the images included children as young as three years old and left the reporter “scarred for life.” He added, “The images were absolutely horrific.”

When cops found Browning and searched his internet devices, they found 163 porn images that included children. Possessing these images and distributing them – which includes tweeting them – are both federal crimes. Distribution carries a mandatory five-year minimum sentence.
