Tucker Carlson Criticizes Crenshaw For Calling McCarthy’s Opponents ‘Terrorists’

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has called out Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) for labeling House GOP members who are against Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in his bid to take over the gavel in Congress “terrorist.” Carlson said Crenshaw was ignoring the concerns of conservatives.

“They’re terrorists now? It’s hard not to see the connection, because over the past few years, pretty much every part of the war on terror has been turned against the domestic political enemies of the neocons,” Carlson said.

Carlson added that Crenshaw is coming out and telling the American people the same thing they were told about Iraq.

Carlson added that Crenshaw going on CNN to label his political opponents’ enemies of the state is what “neocons always do.” Carlson said that those against McCarthy’s bid to be House speaker have their reason and those reasons have to be acknowledged.

“They have real concerns, real issues, but you’ll notice that Dan Crenshaw didn’t address any of those, none of them,” Carlson said.” Instead, he impugned their motives, their character, their intelligence, their moral standards.”

Carlson described Crenshaw comments as the “ snarling face of the donor class revealed for all to see finally.”

Carlson was responding to Crenshaw’s comments when he said he and other House GOP members supporting McCarthy would not vote for anyone else because they “can not let the terrorists win.”

Crenshaw later said those who have problems with his comments need to “lighten up. Crenshaw added that terrorists comment was only a figure of speech and that people need to “grow some f***ing thick skin”.

“I am so sick of like these hurt feelings,” Crenshaw said. “I already got criticized earlier because I called them something else. You know what? You step into the octagon, be ready to get punched in the face,” Crenshaw said.
