Former President Donald Trump addressed a town hall in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and touched on a number of subjects with voters in this critical battleground state as he cranked up his 2024 election campaign.
Pennsylvania, a state which Trump won in 2016 but lost in 2020, is likely to hold the key this November.
Trump addressed a long list of topics from foreign policy to immigration during the town hall and offered up several memorable quotes. The moments were as follows, so check out the top-five above.
On the school shooting in Georgia, which happened after Trump announced his campaign run for 2024, he said “God help us.” He added that he will heal our world if re-elected.
Trump also warned about the possibility of World War III if there were to be a Harris administration. Trump said, “We’re not going to have World War III when I’m elected. You’re going to have World War III with the people that you have in there right now, these clowns.”
Trump then set his sights on Vice President Kamala Harris — who was named the “border czar” in 2021 but has also yet to visit the southern border, which recently experienced what Trump labeled as its greatest crisis ever.
He said: “She’s for open borders. Except now she’s suddenly gone, oh we’re closing borders. She was the border czar… She had that job. She owned the border.”
With Trump gearing up for his first debate with Vice President Harris in Philadelphia next week, these pivotal moments from the town hall offer a window into what will likely be his campaign’s priorities and messaging heading into the home stretch of its season.
