Trump Points Out Flaws In Hutchinson’s Outrageous Claims

Former President Donald Trump roasted Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony before the January 6 House select committee, summing her claims up as “absolutely crazy,” according to Newsmax.

Hutchinson, who served as an aide to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows during the final days of the Trump administration, alleged that the former president tried to seize the wheel of his presidential SUV when he was told he could not go to the Capitol during the events of January 6, and also attempted to strangle a Secret Service agent, among other claims.

“This lady, yesterday — is there something wrong with her?” Trump said.

“She said I jumped from a car, I started strangling a Secret Service agent who I know very well? I grabbed the steering wheel of a car? Said that I wanted guns at my rally? I didn’t want guns. I have to speak, too. I don’t want guns for anybody,” he added.

Since her testimony, several Secret Service agents have stated their willingness to testify that Hutchinson’s claims were false. Tony Ornato, who was the White House deputy chief of staff at the time, also indicated that he was willing to testify under oath and contradict her claims, despite the fact that Hutchinson claims to have heard these stories about Trump from Ornato himself.

Trump went on to note that Hutchinson’s testimony was just an attempt to seek attention, and the fact that there are no real Republicans on the committee to push back against her claims is a real problem. The House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot has no conservative congress members on it, only two RINOs — Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), both of whom appear to have a personal vendetta against the former president.

“The woman is living in fantasy land,” Trump said. “She’s a social climber, if you call that social. I think it’s just a shame that this is happening to this country, and we don’t have any Republicans up there to dispute it.”

The former president also said that Cheney, a vehement critic of Trump who happens to be the committee’s vice-chair, is “a total disaster, she’s a train wreck, but think of it. Nobody to cross-examine.”

It would have been the “easiest cross-examination anywhere,” Trump continued. “They put her on, and they don’t even confirm it with the Secret Service. The Secret Service people in the car said this didn’t happen, but you don’t even need that. Who would do that? I would grab a Secret Service person by the throat?”

The former president added that “These guys lift 350 pounds. I don’t.”

After stating “I hardly know who she is,” regarding Hutchinson, Trump noted that he saw her “making up stories, one after another, but the craziest of all was that I tried to commandeer a car with Secret Service agents, telling them to take us down to the Capitol. It was totally false, that a person can get away with it.”

“It’s a very sad thing that this was allowed to take place, in our country, that somebody can just get there without cross-examination,” he said.

Trump deduced that Hutchinson has “serious problems, let me put it that way. Mental problems.”

He also pointed out that she may be a disgruntled ex-employee, as she had sought to work for him in Florida even after the events of January 6, but was rejected for reasons that he did not disclose.

During the interview with Newsmax, Trump also slammed the House Jan. 6 panel.

“This committee is, a lot of people say, illegally formed,” the former president said.

“When you look at what they’re doing, and you look at what they’re saying, what they’re doing to the country, the good news is, a lot of people aren’t watching. A lot of people aren’t listening to it, but they’re trying to do real harm,” Trump added.
