During a speech at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday evening, former President Donald Trump blasted “radical left lunatic” Jack Smith — the special counsel running the probe into his supposed classified documents scandal.
Trump made the comments during a speech in front of supporters after he arrived back in Florida following his unprecedented and controversial arraignment in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) case against him for supposed “hush money” payments.
According to Breitbart News, “Trump arrived back at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, after being arraigned on 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree in New York. Many across the political sphere have questioned the legal standing of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case, which involves alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.”
In his speech, Trump argued that Bragg’s case and the investigation into his handling of classified documents are just the latest in a long line of “fraudulent investigations” — citing the Russian Collusion Hoax, the Ukraine phone call hoax, both impeachments and the “illegal and unconstitutional raid on Mar-a-Lago” by the FBI last summer.

The 2024 Republican presidential frontrunner went on to blast Smith, who was appointed as the special counsel on the classified documents probe, calling him a “radical left lunatic known as a bomb thrower who is harassing hundreds of my people day after day over the boxes hoax.”
He then pointed to the hypocrisy surrounding his handling of classified documents, as he was protected by the Presidential Records Act while President Joe Biden — who has been found to be illegally storing classified documents in multiple locations from his time as a senator and as vice president in the Obama administration — had no such protection, yet he is not facing the same backlash.
Trump pointed out that Biden had classified documents “stored in unsecured offices in Pennsylvania and strewn all over his garage floor where his now-very famous Corvette is also stored.”
He also cited additional classified documents that were found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., which House Oversight Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) stated were previously stored at an office in Chinatown in Washington, D.C.
