The feud between 50 Cent and Irv Gotti has been longstanding, dating back to the late 1990s when their respective record labels, G-Unit Records and Murder Inc. Records, were engaged in a fierce rivalry. Despite Gotti’s recent passing at the age of 54, 50 Cent has shown no signs of relenting in his trolling behavior towards his former adversary.

On Wednesday, the 49-year-old rapper took to Instagram to mock Gotti’s death, sharing an image of himself smoking hookah while seated next to a tombstone inscribed with “RIP.” The second photo depicted an old red carpet picture of Gotti. In the caption, 50 Cent brazenly declared, “I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack, nah God bless him 🕊️LOL.”

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Gotti’s demise following rumors that he had suffered another stroke and brain bleed, compounded by a history of health issues, including diabetes. However, 50 Cent had already taken jabs at Gotti’s condition when news initially surfaced about him being on life support, posting an Instagram comment that read, “Damn, I wanted him to see my new shows yo!” according to Complex, before subsequently deleting the post.

This wasn’t the first time 50 Cent had trolled Gotti during his health struggles. In August 2024, after reports emerged that Gotti had suffered a stroke, 50 Cent allegedly shared a leaked photo of Gotti walking with a cane, accompanied by a mocking caption referencing his 2002 song “Wanka”: “Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?” He added, “I want Irv to get well, so he can have to watch my next wave LOL.”

“His creative genius and unwavering dedication to the culture birthed countless hits, defining an era of music that continues to resonate with fans worldwide. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those who were touched by his work.”
