Anti-Israel demonstrators reportedly clashed with law enforcement after taking over an afterparty held in connection to Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign rallies in New York City on Wednesday, August 14.
Protesters are particularly furious about American support for Israel, and vented their anger at a rally in Harlem attended by New York Mayor Eric Adams.
The protesters can be seen lining the street outside of the event in video footage published by Channel 12 news, with one person hollering: “You set Palestine on fire.”
Stirred up, the protesters caused chaos and set off smoke bombs as the confrontation between police intensified.
“How dare you,” another protesters yelled.
Harris has previously been interrupted by anti-Israel protesters during a campaign event in Michigan. In a flatly defiant tone she shot back, “You know what, if you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking,” which was met with mixed reactions.
The Biden administration position regarding backing Israel in the ongoing conflict with Hamas terrorists sprouting from the Gaza Strip has been a matter of raging debate leading to protestations by groups.
