During an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) strongly condemned President Donald Trump’s proposed plan for the Gaza Strip. According to Omar, Trump’s suggestion that the U.S. would take control of Gaza and forcibly remove Palestinians from the region amounts to “just plain out ethnic cleansing and genocide.”
The controversial remarks from the President were played during the interview, in which Trump stated, “The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too. We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site.”
Alright, here’s my take on Trump’s announcement about the Gaza Strip:
Trump points out how the last 100 years have been nothing but violence, and rather than continue this vicious cycle, Trump is exploring a more permanent plan for peace.

When pressed by host Margaret Brennan on how this proposal might be perceived globally, Omar responded without hesitation. “That’s just plain out ethnic cleansing and genocide. That’s what he’s talking about,” she said. “The Palestinian people will remain in Gaza, and there is no support around the world for the ludicrous suggestion that he is making.”
Brennan attempted to clarify Trump’s stance, suggesting that he was offering Palestinians a choice to leave the area. However, Omar dismissed this notion, stating, “Yeah, I’m pretty sure most of the people in Gaza would love to remain in their homeland and be where they were born.”
Egyptians near Gaza are so pissed off at Trump's relocation plans that they loot aid trucks meant for 'Palestinians'.

The congresswoman’s forceful condemnation of Trump’s Gaza proposal highlights the significant backlash and concerns raised by the President’s comments, which many have interpreted as a call for the forced displacement of Palestinians from their homes and territories.
