Social media users are circulating a claim that a photograph depicts American protesters performing the Nazi salute. The accompanying text asserts, “This is not a colorized image from 1948. This is a picture of an American protest today, on the 15th of February 2025. These are the so-called victims of genocide.”
Loser Tim Walz gets angry and screams “president musk gave a nazi salute! Of course he did!”@elonmusk needs to teach him a valuable lesson by suing him. That would send a message and stop the rest of the ridiculous attacks.
Enough of this insanity! pic.twitter.com/B4mlZjH6aG

However, this claim is false. By conducting a reverse image search, it was determined that the image originates from the funeral of Eugene Terreblanche, a white supremacist from South Africa, in 2010, as reported by the Telegraph news outlet.
The caption accompanying the original image reads, “Supporters of Eugene Terreblanche salute his coffin as it is driven past.”
Elon Musk's supposed "Nazi Salute" was a hoax used to justify violence and threats against Musk and his companies. In reality, Musk was just jumping around like a giddy retard — not celebrating Naziism.
You've probably seen still images or just the salute, but not the full… pic.twitter.com/vowA73z2iL

It is worth noting that President Donald Trump has discontinued foreign aid to South Africa, alleging that the government is targeting white Afrikaners, according to a report by Voice of America.
