Lou Dobbs Rips Into CNN For Hiring Left-Wing Activists Pretending To Be Journalists

Lou Dobbs, host of “The Great American Show,” recently blasted his former employer, CNN, for hiring left-wing activists pretending to be journalists.

On Monday, Dobbs appeared on “Just the News, No Noise,” to criticize CNN as a disintegrating news organization.

“I was one among those who helped to build CNN from its very beginning,” Dobbs began. “To see what that institution has gone through and where it is today — you remember when they brought in their new CEO?”

“It was going to be a shift to the center and there was going to be dispassionate, objective, independent news gathering and reporting,” he continued. “They’ve gone the other way.”

Next, Dobbs leveled his focus on the hiring practices of CNN.

“They’re giving more time to left-wing activists who pose as journalists,” Dobbs stated. “It is right now an institution that is precisely in the place the new CEO found it.”

“And that’s unfortunate, because it also shows how hollow those suggestions were that they would change,” he added.

Dobbs also stressed that the other media companies are owned by major corporations, and they merely follow the orders that are issued to them from boardrooms. The corporations, he argued, are forcing their ideologies into mainstream politics via the news organizations they control.

As an example, he referenced company policies requiring employee training on critical race theory.

“We’ve got a corporate structure in this country right now that is in desperate need of redirection,” Dobbs emphasized. “There is no place for political engagement on the part of these powerful corporations and it has to stop.”

Rather than relying on corporations, Dobbs said the country needs to rely on its middle class, as it has in the past.

“This is a country that relies on the consent of the governed by a middle class that is vibrant and vigorous and where the American dream lives and shines brightest,” Dobbs concluded. “We have to resurrect all of these institutions.”

In early 2021, Lou Dobbs’ show was dropped from the Fox Business Network, despite the fact that he had the highest ratings for the network at the time. The firing came closely on the heels of an announcement that Dobbs had been named in a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit involving claims of election fraud.
