Kamala Harris MISREPRESENTS Trump’s Policies During DNC Speech

During Kamala Harris’ speech at the DNC, she said several things about Republican nominee Donald Trump, most of which were not entirely correct or taken out of context.

“We know what a second Trump term would look like,” Harris told Democrats on Thursday. “It’s all laid out in Project 2025, written by his closest advisers, and its sum total is to pull our country back to the past. But America, we are not going back.”

Harris also said Trump means to slash Social Security and Medicare, but the “Project 2025” plan does not call for such cuts.

Trump, who was decidedly mixed in his acceptance or opposition to these programs earlier has come out against their withdrawal now. In his platform, Thompson says he will “fight for and protect Social Security and Medicare with no cuts including no changes to the retirement age.”

Another of Harris’ “predictions” was that Trump would impose a federal ban on abortion. Trump’s campaign, however, has said they will leave the abortion issue up to states.

Trump has indicated that he is against a federal ban on abortion, and the party platform concentrates instead on outlawing late-term abortions as well as providing for policies such as prenatal care and access to birth control.
