Kamala Harris Claims Border ‘Secure’

Although illegal migrants flow over the U.S. Mexican border by hundreds of thousands, Vice President Kamala Harris (D) claims the border is secure.

Faulting former President Donald J. Trump ( R) Harris noted that immigration is broken and needs reform.

“The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system in particular over the last four years before we came in and it needs to be fixed,” she said.

Fox TV host Sean Hannity tweeted, “QUICK, BLAME TRUMP! Kamala Says the Border is Secure, But Blames Trump for ‘Deterioration’”

However, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the numbers have more than doubled since President Joe Biden (D) took office.

Harris said congress and states, “like Texas” are “playing politics” and that is why there is no progression in the desired “pathway to citizenship” legislation that she and the President have been pressing.

“We also have to put in place a law and a plan for a pathway for citizenship for the millions of people who are here and are prepared to do what is legally required to gain citizenship,” Harris said. “We don’t have that in place because people are playing politics and in Congress. By the way, you want to talk about bipartisanship, on an issue that at one time was a bipartisan issue. Both in terms of Republican senators and even presidents.”

Harris, who was appointed “Border Czar” for the Biden administration has never visited the U.S.-Mexican border and this is not the first time she has made remarks concerning its security.

During her Meet the Press interview, host Chuck Todd pressed her and asked ““We’re going to have 2 million people cross this border for the first time ever. You’re confident this border’s secure?”

“We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration,” Harris insisted. “But there are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.”

The number of arrests is rapidly on pace to surpass 2 million for the first time ever.

Things are so out of control at the Texas-Mexican border that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ( R ) has been sending bus loads to liberal sanctuary cities so they can share the pain. Over the past year, Abbott has moved approximately 10,000 of the 200,000 plus illegal migrants who have snuck into Texas to New York City, D.C., and Chicago.
