Sen JD Vance (R-OH), in an interview recently, warned Americans to beware of the changed tone of Kamala Harris sweet-talking votes for her 2024 presidential bid.
During a conversation with “Fox & Friend,” the Republican Vice-Presidential candidate reacted to Harris’ first sit-down interview since announcing her candidacy. He calls her out for phonily moderate views just to appeal to voters.
He did not mince his words, as he said, “It’s important for us not to buy this.”
Vance reminded that Harris has always moved on the very left and now tries to advertise herself as a moderate.
“She’s just trying to pretend that she’s not far left now because, of course, she wants to win the American people’s votes over the next couple of months. But if she does, she’s going to do the exact same thing she’s done for the last couple of years,” he added.
Vance did point out Harris for “flip-flopping” on critical issues and warned that through her administration, Americans would suffer from higher costs of living, open borders, and a more dangerous world.
He thought it was comical how Harris could sit down in an interview and say her values had not changed, when she indeed had shifted her positions on multiple critical topics. “If you have the same values, why have you changed your mind on literally every topic that you previously held an opinion on?” Vance asked.
The interview, conducted by CNN’s Dana Bash, was Harris’s first in over a month since she became the presumptive Democratic nominee. But Vance said the Democratic presidential nominee sounded so unsteady on what she would do-arguably an indication that she had been coached to sound more moderate.
In his words: “It’s clear that she doesn’t have very strong convictions. I actually, even though I’m running against her, I felt a little bad for her because it was clear that she wasn’t totally sure-footed, and she didn’t totally know why she was saying the things that she was saying. She’s been coached to pretend to be a moderate.”
He also managed to get a shot in at the media, too, because they were letting her off easy without pinning her on these apparent contradictions. “The media is so desperate to let her get away with this, that they don’t even push her on the fact that she’s changed her mind, allegedly on eight different topics,” Vance said.
“The proof is in the pudding. Kamala Harris can say that she’s changed her mind on American energy, or changed her mind on police, or changed her mind on immigration,” he added.
Vance went on to note that all presaged the consequences of a Harris presidency based on her vice presidency so far.
“Unfortunately, guys, she’s governed as a San Francisco liberal, and because of it, Americans are poor, the world is more chaotic, and our border is wide open,” he concluded.
He then struck the need for a fresh way, supporting former President Donald Trump as the candidate who would change the course of the country.
