Former Governor Andrew Cuomo couldn’t be further from self-aware. The disgraced governor interjected himself into a court case while entering into one himself. Cuomo needs to realize that the majority of the time, justice will prevail, and just like Kyle Rittenhouse, justice will prevail with Cuomo as well. It just might not be how he would like it to go.
Cuomo tweeted, “Today’s verdict is a stain on the soul of America, & sends a dangerous message about who & what values our justice system was designed to protect. We must stand unified in rejecting supremacist vigilantism & with one voice say: this is not who we are.”
Cuomo is more aligned with the men that Rittenhouse shot due to his physical assault accusations. Rittenhouse is a true hero and defended his community when law enforcement couldn’t or wouldn’t. Rittenhouse certainly wasn’t in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to shoot or kill people. He was there to stand up for the community.
Just one of Cuomo’s accusations says that he “intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly placed his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim and onto her intimate body part.” Several other accusations are present as well.
Cuomo says that the verdict is a stain on the soul of America, but he needs to realize that he’s accused of things that place a strain on the soul of politicians in America. There should be a higher standard placed on politicians. Using political power to harass others physically is unacceptable and should be met with severe prison time.
Nobody should take advice from Cuomo. His morals are tainted, and not only because of the physical assault. Cuomo’s nursing home scandal hasn’t been thoroughly investigated yet. Cuomo sent almost 15,000 Covid-19 patients to nursing homes rather than keep them in hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Then, Cuomo’s team hid the number of patients sent to the nursing homes and changed the number. The Associated Press said, “The new number of 9,056 recovering patients sent to hundreds of nursing homes is more than 40% higher than what the state health department previously released.”
Remarkably, he could lie about it and get away with it, but the article goes further and explains, “It is now nearly 15,000 up from the 8,500 previously disclosed.”
Hindsight is 2020, literally, but the symptoms of the Covid-19 virus are detrimental to elderly folks. Even toward the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we knew that the signs were rougher on the elderly than the young. There’s no excuse good enough to explain Cuomo’s behavior, and he has to be held accountable at some point.
