The Federal Bureau of Investigations has at least done one thing correctly. They determined with “moderate confidence” that Covid-19 leaked from a lab accident. No other government agency has admitted this.
After the National Institute of Health admitted that they funded gain-of-function research on Sars Cov-2, they admitted that the lab leak “theory” was no longer theory. While the released report doesn’t clarify if the virus came from human infection or leaked from the lab, it still came from the lab.
Dr. Anthony Fauci has denied funding gain-of-function research in front of Congress while he was blasted by Rand Paul (R-KY) and others. It’s finally being discovered that gain-of-function was the cause of the virus release the whole time.
The report notes that “One IC element assesses with moderate confidence that the first human infection with SARS-CoV-2 most likely was the result of a laboratory associated incident, probably involving experimentation, animal handling, or sampling by the Wuhan Institute of Virology. These analysts give weight to the inherently risky nature of work on coronaviruses.”
The report also says that the Intelligence Community “lacks clinical samples or a complete understanding of epidemiological data from the earliest COVID-19 cases.”
That’s likely due to China’s inability to be transparent from the beginning of the investigation and Fauci’s inability, to be honest. Fauci’s emails provided some insight into the early discoveries that were made that could have eased the public’s mind and provided a better understanding for investigating agencies to determine the origins of the virus and possibly figure out the puzzle long before it was looked into.
The inferences of phone conversation rather than email show that the matter would be kept private, and a paper trail wouldn’t be left. It’s also interesting that Fauci was unsure for all of 2020 where the virus came from, and social media companies banned content and accounts that suggested that Covid-19 came from the Wuhan lab.
There’s wild speculation of the origins of Covid-19, but we all know that Fauci is more involved than he’s leading on.
Everyone remembers Paul asking, “Knowing that it is a crime to lie to Congress, do you wish to retract your statement of May 11 where you claimed that the NIH never funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan?”
Fauci did not wish to retract his statement. Fauci said that Paul was lying. The NIH confirmed it was, in fact, Fauci who was lying.
