DeSantis Hits Back At Biden’s Inflammatory Speech

After delivering a historically divisive and threatening speech, President Joe Biden faced some harsh criticism from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who mocked Biden’s mention of “rule off law” as he declared that the president has no respect for the rule of law.

During a Fox News Channel interview on Friday, DeSantis was clearly incredulous that Biden has any allegiance to the nation’s constitution or judicial system.

“Well, look, he talks about rule of law,” the governor “Ingraham Angle” guest host Raymond Arroyo. “What has he done? He’s violated his oath of office to take care that the laws are faithfully executed by opening the border. He’s not following the law there.”

DeSantis went on to criticize Biden for his recently announced “bailout” for student loan borrowers.

“Congress never authorized that,” the Florida Republican continued. “He’s citing a law from Sept. 11 to somehow give loan forgiveness and put it on the backs of the taxpayer for people with degrees in gender studies.”

He concluded that the president is not a credible source for extolling the virtues of upholding the law.

“So, spare me this idea of the rule of law,” DeSantis added. “He doesn’t give a darn about the rule of law.”

The governor claimed that Biden only tolerates “Republicans that want him to get his way,” asserting: “If you stand up against his bad policies, like we do in Florida, then, of course, he’s going to try to write you out over who’s acceptable as an American citizen.”

Reacting to Biden’s continuous verbal attacks on GOP supporters of former President Donald Trump, DeSantis described it as an act of desperation ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

“I think he is doing this because he’s trying to energize his base to fend off a real butt whipping this November,” he said.
