According to Representative Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.), Democrats are intentionally postponing the vote on Kash Patel, President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the FBI, in hopes of uncovering damaging information about him. Tiffany expressed this view during an interview with Newsmax on Friday.
On Thursday, Senate Democrats on the Judiciary Committee requested a one-week delay and a second hearing for Patel’s nomination, accusing him of making “false statements” during his initial appearance.
During his Friday appearance on “Wake Up America,” Tiffany asserted that Democrats are “buying time” by delaying progress on Patel’s nomination. “I’ll guarantee you they are out there digging anywhere, a la Justice [Brett] Kavanaugh a few years ago,” Tiffany stated, drawing a parallel to the allegations of attempted sexual assault leveled against Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings.

“They’re trying to find something in the next week. This is just buying time, trying to find something to derail someone who … was a public defender. He was a prosecutor. He worked for the Department of Defense,” Tiffany added.
Tiffany claimed that Patel’s role in exposing the Russia collusion as a hoax and his assistance in protecting President Trump constituted “the ultimate sin in Democrat world,” making him unforgivable in the eyes of Senate Democrats. “He committed the ultimate sin in Democrat world when he exposed Russia collusion as being false, it being a hoax, and he helped save President Trump. And that’s unforgivable by Senate Democrats,” Tiffany declared.
