As support continues within the Democratic Party for Vice President Kamala Harris, a heavyweight has refrained from endorsing her.
Former President Barack Obama has not formally endorsed Harris following President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential race. Instead, the former president insisted that the Democratic Party would select its nominee via a fair process.
The former president admitted to the uncertainty his party faces while expressing confidence that party leaders would ensure the emergence of a competent nominee.
“We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead,” the former president said. “But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges.”
There are concerns within the Democratic Party that Harris’s candidacy might weaken their chances against former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

Obama, a Democrat heavyweight, may have encouraged others to run against Harris with his refusal. However, no other Democrat has stepped out to challenge Harris for the nomination.
Despite Biden’s endorsement of Harris, reports merged that the president doubted whether she can beat former President Donald Trump.

Should Harris become the Democrat nominee, she will face off with Trump’s well-oiled campaign. Trump campaign senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles released a memo stating the former president is ready to take Harris on and decimate her as he did to Biden.
“After being thoroughly decimated by President Trump three weeks ago at the debate in Atlanta, Joe Biden was fired,” the memo from LaCivita and Wiles reads. “He was fired by Donald Trump. He has now been turned out to pasture, yet the Biden record of Weakness and Failure still stands. Just as Donald Trump fired Joe Biden, he will demonstrate to the world he can fire Dangerously liberal Kamala as well,” the memo continued. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to defeat not just one Democrat nominee for president, but two — in the same year!”

The memo added that Trump would “fire” Harris just as he did to Joe Biden.
“He will demonstrate to the world he can fire Dangerously liberal Kamala as well,” the memo continued. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to defeat not just one Democrat nominee for president, but two — in the same year!”
