Chicago Mayor Lightfoot Defends Her Racism Regarding Interview Protocols

Isn’t Racism Just For Republicans? Wrong.

Lori Lightfoot doubles down on her racism with all of her failed policies, saying she is unapologetic for allowing only Black reporters for interviews. According to spencerlawyers.com, some examples of civil rights violations include:

  • Unreasonable searches and seizures.
  • A cruel and unusual punishment.
  • It is losing a job or being passed over for a promotion due to discrimination.
  • Abuse by a public official.
  • Any discrimination is based on a superficial quality or belief.

Pay attention to that last example and understand that Lightfoot’s behavior on the public stage is likely worsened behind closed doors. Imagine if this was reversed, what would the reaction be? We all know what it would be. The NAACP would be knocking at your door with attorneys and would probably be thrown out of the city.

But the double standard exists for Democrats with nobody to stop it until it reaches a courtroom at least.

Lightfoot said on Twitter, “This is exactly why I’m being intentional about prioritizing media requests from POC (People of Color) reporters on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of my inauguration as mayor of this great city.” She also posted, “Diversity and Inclusion is imperative across all institutions, including the media. In order to progress, we must change.”

Change from what? Allowing all races to interview you? Stop prioritizing race in society? Come on, and this is absolute garbage.

Gregory Pratt tweeted, “I am a Latino reporter @Chicagotribune whose interview request was granted for today. However, I asked the mayor’s office to lift its condition on others, and when they said no, we respectfully canceled. Politicians don’t get to choose who covers them.”

The pushback will get larger when Lightfoot sees her polling numbers and realizes that people aren’t going to jump back into segregation in 2021. Martin Luther King Jr. And many others fought hard for years to get us to the point we’re at, and nobody, White, Black, Brown, Purple, or Pink, isn’t going to willingly subjugate themselves to any segregation, even if this time the roles are reversed.

Lightfoot ignores the violence and crime in her city yet gets on her social justice bandwagon and raises racial issues by banning White journalists from interviews. No social justice issue has been solved by restricting the first amendment unless you ask Adolf Hitler. If Lightfoot wanted open dialogue about racial issues, she would put her social justice rage where her mouth is and advocate for equality amongst Americans regardless of skin color. But we live in an extremist world, and apparently, you have to segregate others to get the point across, even if you’re violating civil rights.
