Bette Midler Tells Leftist Protesters to ‘Come Armed’ to the NRA Conference

Washed up actress turned left-wing activist Bette Midler is urging her followers to “come armed” to a protest at the National Rifle Association (NRA) conference on May 26.

Nearly every leftist on Twitter is melting down about the NRA hosting its annual meeting in Houston this weekend, which will feature former President Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and several other prominent Republicans.

The left is livid that conservatives would dare hold a conference regarding our Second Amendment right to defend ourselves following the tragic mass shooting event at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas that left 19 children and 2 teachers dead.

The members of the left who are able to articulate a coherent argument rather than just scream, throw insults and blame Republicans for the deaths of the children argue that, considering the tragedy involved a gun, the NRA conference is poorly timed and insensitive. Many Republicans are arguing in response that, considering the fact that the left’s response to the tragedy is to try and take away the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners who want to protect themselves (and their children), the NRA conference is more important than ever.

Responding to the news of the conference, Midler had a different approach than most of the left.

Sharing a tweet that called for people to “show up and protest” the conference, the actress tweeted: “AT THE GEORGE R BROWN CONVENTION CENTER IN HOUSTON TEXAS, THIS WEEKEND. Come armed.”

Of course, that is their right, and those who are attending the NRA conference would support it. That is literally what the NRA is about, law-abiding gun owners. If someone wishes to take their gun with them to a protest, as long as they are acting lawfully, they are more than welcome to do so. The question is: will they be peaceful? The left is not always peaceful when they gather to “protest,” so hopefully everyone there is on high alert.
