Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R-AZ) blames President Joe Biden for the southern border crisis, making him yet another government official that’s itching to hold Biden and his Administration responsible.
The southern border crisis is Biden’s fault. Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the border. So far, she has completely failed at making any difference in the swarm of illegal aliens crossing into the country. That makes Harris just as responsible as Biden for the failure.
Brnovich said, “Just when you think we’ve reached rock bottom, something else happens. This year has seen a record number of migrants enter the country. Just last week, our agency was engaged in the seizure of a record amount of fentanyl. Americans are perishing. Our cities are becoming more unsafe due to the failed policies of the Biden Administration.”
It’s the result of removing policies and legislation that places at least some form of protection at the border. Biden removed the remain in Mexico policy that former President Donald Trump signed, resulting in the Supreme Court reinstated it. Biden put his weak tweaks on the policy that didn’t do nearly as much to accomplish the same task.
Brnovich said that the cartels are in charge of the border, which is evident by the massive amounts of drug seizures and the coyotes trafficking humans across the border in record numbers. Though there were spikes in drug seizures in 2020, from 2019 to 2021, 2021 was the most consistent of all years, with drug seizures being more evident throughout the year than spiking in other months.
Brnovich stated on Fox News that the Biden Administration had “stopped implementing deportation of people, deportation order, a violation of Title 8 of the United States Code. And we currently have a lawsuit in the United States Supreme Court that I will argue in February in which the Biden Administration has essentially provided incentives, including government benefits, to persons who have entered the nation unlawfully.”
Title 8 of the US Code covers Aliens and Nationality and outlines the repercussions of illegally entering the United States.
Many Republicans have plans to enter articles of impeachment on Biden when Republicans take back the majority in Congress after the 2022 midterm election. There’s no sign that Biden will turn things around before the midterms or the 2024 presidential election.
