There’s a general rule that should be laid down first and foremost. The left can’t call for investigations on anyone until they’re fully investigated themselves. Hunter Biden still hasn’t been investigated by David Weiss, President Joe Biden hasn’t been fully investigated for sexual assault claims, and Joe and Hunter’s shared bank account hasn’t been investigated either. But, with all the Democratic Party’s wrongdoing, there are still Republicans that should be investigated as well.
ABC’s The View recently shed some light on who they think should be investigated. Apparently, The View co-host Ana Navarro, thinks that Tucker Carlson and Tulsi Gabbard should be investigated because they have an opinion on the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
To be fair, both Russia and Ukraine’s governments are corrupt and supporting either would seem to be a questionable move. But, given that we live in a free country and have First Amendment freedoms, anyone can say what they want as they are abiding by the law.
Carlson and Gabbard have been hyper-critical of Ukraine’s government due to charges of corruption, their calls for offensive weapons, the identification of U.S. funded biological laboratories located in the nation, and their questionable involvement with the Biden family and other U.S. politicians.
Hunter Biden sat on the board of Ukraine’s energy company, Burisma, while he was completely unqualified to do so. Rather than keeping Hunter’s salary the same as when his father, Joe Biden, left office in 2016, Hunter’s salary was cut just months after Joe ended his term as vice president.
Speaking of leaked Kremlin documents which suggest that Russia should push Tucker Carlson’s show, Navarro said, “The Fox board of directors should step in. If they call themselves patriots and, you know, it’s not enough to be posting flags about Ukraine. There’s enough people on that board of directors list like my friend Paul Ryan who I wish would be weighing in saying, we cannot be Russian state TV. At least not every hour.”
As critical as Carlson has been about Ukraine, he’s been equally critical of the Russian government. For some reason, people treat Carlson like he’s a politician rather than a journalist. In 2021, Carlson was actually trying to interview Vladimir Putin, leading to the National Security Agency (NSA) spying on his emails.
Why was Carlson trying to get an interview with Putin? Because he’s a journalist and a news commentator. Why wouldn’t he?
In reference to Carlson getting dropped from Fox News, Navarro said, “I don’t think he’s getting dropped at all, but that’s an incredibly relevant question, and I think DOJ in the same way that it is setting up a task force to investigate oligarchs should look into people who are Russian propagandists and shilling for Putin. It should be investigated, and, in fact, I remember when Tulsi Gabbard, and I hate that we’re discussing it because I think to myself, who is this woman? She’s a, you know, she’s no longer in Congress. She’s a failed presidential candidate.”
If you subtract Gabbard’s lieutenant colonel ranking in the Army Reserves, Navarro basically listed the exact qualifications that Vice President Kamala Harris has: a failed presidential candidate no longer in her previous political position. If it discredits Gabbard then it should discredit Harris as well. The only difference is that now, Harris can add “failed vice president” to her resume.
